Cooking Instructions for Lamb Loin Valentine Steak

Remove from the fridge 30 minutes before cooking for best results.

Pan-Seared Lamb Loin Steak:
Pat the steak dry and season generously with salt, pepper, and fresh rosemary or thyme.
Heat a heavy skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat with a drizzle of olive oil.

Cook the steak as follows:
200g steak: Cook for 2–3 minutes per side for rare, 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or 4–5 minutes per side for medium.
400g steak: Cook for 3–4 minutes per side for rare, 4–5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or 5–6 minutes per side for medium.
For a thicker steak, finish in a preheated oven at 180°C (fan 160°C) or Gas Mark 4 for 5–7 minutes.
Allow the steak to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Serving Suggestions:
Pair with creamy dauphinoise potatoes, honey-glazed carrots, and a red wine jus for a classic touch. Alternatively, serve with a side of Mediterranean couscous, roasted vegetables, and a dollop of herbed yogurt for a fresh and modern twist.
